Open sales orders without losing your place
Sales order work often starts from the list: checking the next order, comparing statuses, answering a customer question, then moving on to the next thing.
Until now, opening an order usually meant leaving that list. Even when the order page gave you everything you needed, the jump away from your current view could break the rhythm of the work.
YoPrint now opens existing sales orders and quotes in a preview window by default from the main YoPrint app entry points. That includes opening from global search, sales order lists, and links covered by this sales order opening behavior.
Use View, double-click a row, or open a covered linked order to inspect the order, then close the preview when you are done.
Your list context stays in place, so you can return to the order group you were working through.
Prefer the old full-page flow?
Some users like the new preview window because it keeps the surrounding app context in place. Other users prefer the older full-page experience, especially when they spend a long time inside one order.
Each user can choose the behavior that fits their own workflow from their profile.
Go to Profile at https://app.yoprint.com/profile, then find Sales Order Opening. You can choose how existing sales orders and quotes open from:
- From global search
- From sales order lists
- From links
For each entry point, choose Preview window, Full page, or New tab.
The default is Preview window, which matches the new release. If you prefer the old navigation style, set the relevant option to Full page. If you want to keep your current page open and inspect orders separately, choose New tab.
Built for real order work
This took more work than a small preview because it had to fit real order work.
The goal was not to force a new navigation style on every person. The default preview window helps list-based order review, while the profile preference keeps control with the user doing the work.
It also follows the same pattern YoPrint already uses for other detail surfaces, so opening an order from the list now feels closer to opening a job or customer detail: you keep the surrounding context, handle the item in front of you, then return to the list without rebuilding your place.
How to use it
Go to Sales > Sales Orders in the YoPrint app. Click View on an existing order, or double-click the row, to open the order in the preview window.
Draft orders still use the existing create/edit flow. This update is for opening existing sales orders and quotes from search, list, and linked-order contexts.
The sales order detail preview and user-level opening preferences are available now in the YoPrint app.
