Mockup Creator Is Now Live
Back in our last status update, we shared that Mockup Creator was in build. It is now live in YoPrint.
This is for the moment every print shop knows: the customer likes the idea, but still needs to see what the artwork will look like on the product before they approve it.
Instead of stitching together product screenshots, uploaded artwork, design files, PDFs, and long email explanations, your team can build an approval-ready proof inside YoPrint. Show the product. Place the artwork. Add the notes that matter. Use 3D when it helps. Then send a proof that feels clear enough for the customer to approve with confidence.
Build approval proofs around the job
Mockup Creator is made for the approvals your team already sends every day:
- a quick left-chest placement proof
- a full-front T-shirt mockup
- a bag pocket sew-out approval
- a front-and-back artwork proof
- a customer-facing layout with size, placement, and production notes
You can add product visuals, upload artwork, place images, add text, draw shapes, include measurement cues, and build the proof around the exact thing the customer needs to review.
That is the practical win: customers see the product context earlier, and your team spends less time explaining what a proof is supposed to mean.
Use real product context
Mockups work better when they are built around the product your customer is actually ordering.
Inside the editor, you can search enabled product catalogs and add products directly into the mockup. That helps the proof feel less like a generic artwork preview and more like a real approval for the item being produced.
For shops that already care about getting the right garment, color, product view, and placement into the customer conversation early, this should make the approval step feel much more connected to the job.
Add 3D when a flat mockup is not enough
Some approvals need more context than a flat image can give.
Mockup Creator supports 3D previews so customers can see artwork on a more realistic product view. The starting 3D model set includes T-Shirt, Tank Top, Polo Shirt, and Mug, with more room for us to expand over time.
You do not need 3D on every proof. But when a customer is unsure about placement, scale, or how the design will sit on the product, a 3D preview can make the decision easier and cut down on the "Can you show me another angle?" back-and-forth.
Start from templates instead of a blank canvas
Blank pages slow people down. Mockup Creator includes YoPrint-designed starter templates so your team can begin from a useful proof layout instead of rebuilding the same structure every time.
The first three starters are:
- Sew Out Approval - Bag Front Pocket
- Artwork Approval - Gildan 5000 Tee Front
- Artwork Approval - 3D Tee Front and Back
Open a template, swap in the customer artwork, adjust the product or placement, add the notes you need, and turn it into your own approval proof.
Send clearer approvals with less back-and-forth
The biggest value of Mockup Creator is not just making prettier mockups.
It is helping your team send clearer approvals before work moves into production:
- Use 2D mockups for quick product visuals.
- Add 3D previews when realism helps the customer decide.
- Use templates for repeatable approval formats.
- Add notes, sizing, placement, and proof context to the same layout.
- Keep the mockup connected to the job instead of managing another loose attachment.
That means fewer unclear proof threads, fewer repeated explanations, and a smoother handoff from approval to production.
Try it on your next approval
Mockup Creator is ready to use in YoPrint.
Start with a job that normally takes extra explaining. Build the mockup, add the product, place the artwork, include the notes, and try a 3D preview if it helps the customer understand the finished result.
The goal is not to make your team spend more time designing proofs. The goal is to make approvals clearer, faster, and easier to trust.
