Status Update: Shopify App Review and the Mockup Creator

We are currently working on two separate additions to YoPrint to help streamline your shop's operations: a Shopify integration to handle order intake, and a new mockup creator to simplify artwork approval. Here is a look at the current status of both projects.

Shopify Integration Status

The goal of the Shopify integration is to sync your Shopify orders directly into YoPrint so your team no longer has to manually copy and paste order details.

We recently shared that this integration was in the works and planned to run a beta test with a few shops while the app was under review. We have since learned that Shopify requires apps to be fully approved before any merchants can access them. Because of this requirement, a pre-approval beta is not possible.

The YoPrint Shopify app has now been officially submitted and is currently in review.

Shopify's approval process typically takes a few weeks. The app is not available to install yet, but we will reach out to let you know as soon as it is approved and ready to use.

The Mockup Creator

We are also in the middle of development on a native mockup creator. This feature is designed to make it easy to build mockups and send them to your customers for approval as part of one broader mockup workflow.

In the 2D workflow, you can pull in garments from catalogs like S&S Activewear, Momentec, AS Colour, and SanMar. You select the blank, bring it into the editor, overlay the customer's logo, and prepare it for approval.

For a more realistic representation of the final product, we are also building a 3D workflow. This allows you to overlay the artwork onto a 3D model of a T-shirt. The initial release of the 3D creator will focus on a limited number of garment types, starting with T-shirts, and we will add more garment types later.

Whether you use the 2D or 3D workflow, the mockups are sent straight to the customer portal. Your client can review the design and provide their artwork approval directly in the portal so you can get the job ready to move forward.

What Happens Next

The Shopify app is in Shopify's hands for review, and the next step is waiting for their approval. Meanwhile, our team remains focused on actively building the mockup creator. We will update you when the Shopify app is available and share more details on the mockup tools as development continues.
