Square Payment Updates

Our existing Square integration allows you to collect payments in 2 ways.

The first way is to collect payments in person with your Square card reader. You will use the Square app, key in the Sales Order number, the total, and swipe / insert the card into the reader. Once we receive the notification, we update our system to reflect a payment has been made.

The second way is to collect payments online. Your customers will go to their Customer Portal and make a payment with their credit card online. Once we receive a notification, we will update our system with the payment details.

While those two options are great, they don’t address the following scenarios.

  • Your walk-in customer wants to make a payment, but your Square Card Reader is not working.
  • Your customer is on the phone and would like to make a payment right away.

To address this, we are adding a third option; collect payments directly from Sales Orders. Just click the “+” button under Payments and Select Square Payments. Select the payment amount — key in the Credit Card information and click charge. It’s that easy.

Other Refinements

  • Added an option under Configuration > Setting > General to show Product Description in Customer Portal and Sales Order PDF
  • Added the ability to sort Pricing Matrix columns
